This is the simplest way to meet Keigakuji. You will be shown how to sit, how to breathe, and where to put your hands and eyes. Then we sit together in the Buddha Hall, where the priests of this temple have sat since around 1757.
No experience is needed, and nothing is asked of you beyond attention. The temple is a short walk from the hot-spring inns of Yomogihira, so a session fits easily into a stay.
“Nothing is required of you but to sit down.”
