慶覺寺 KEIGAKUJI
Zen at the Edge of the World

坐 · Practice at Keigakuji

Come and sit.

A first sitting. Time for practice. A night at the temple.

Zazen is seated meditation. At Keigakuji, you begin with the practical things: how to sit, where to place your hands, and how to let your breathing settle. Then we sit together in the Buddha Hall.

You do not need previous experience. Instruction is offered in English and Japanese. Choose a short introduction, join a Half-Day Immersion from 10 am to 4 pm, or stay overnight in the mountains of Yomogihira.
